Psoriasis, an immune-mediated chronic inflammatory skin disorder, poses challenges for topical treatment due to the thickening of the stratum corneum, hindering drug penetration. Furthermore, long-term use of chemical drugs may lead to immunosuppression and abnormal hepatic or renal dysfunction. Inspired by traditional Chinese fire cupping (Ba Huo Guan), a negative-pressure microneedle syringe therapy has been proposed here for psoriasis treatment.

Background: Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) is a chronic inflammatory disease with an unpredictable disease course. Long-term treatment goals include sustained resolution of skin symptoms, prevention of new flares, and improvement in quality of life (QoL).
Objective: To compare the effect of the interleukin-36 receptor monoclonal antibody spesolimab 600 mg subcutaneous (SC) loading dose (LD) followed by 300 mg SC every 4 weeks (q4w) versus placebo on skin symptoms and QoL burden in patients with GPP.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by red lesions and skin patches with silvery scales. Overall, 2 - 3 % of the worldwide population is affected by psoriasis. Recent treatment strategies for psoriasis involve Mesenchymal stromal/stem cell (MSC) transplantation instead of conventional treatment with monoclonal antibodies and small molecule drugs.

Skin is the human body's largest organ, protecting it from various environmental threats. At the same time, it is the most accessible organ of the body, which ensures the reception of stimuli and contact with the environment. Such common signs of skin aging, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and discoloration, result from both extrinsic and intrinsic factors that act for a long time.
