Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV), a pestivirus in the family , is a major livestock pathogen. Horizontal transmission leads to acute transient infections via the oronasal route, whereas vertical transmission might lead to the birth of immunotolerant, persistently infected animals. In both cases, BVDV exerts an immunosuppressive effect, predisposing infected animals to secondary infections.

To identify the best method of distributing vaccine baits for animals, the oral vaccine Flc-LOM-BE was buried or placed directly on the ground within a mountainous area measuring 163 ha. Wild boars were observed more often around sites where the oral vaccine was buried than around sites where the oral vaccine was placed directly on the ground. Only wild boars consumed both the bait and the vaccine formulation.

This study aimed to identify point mutations within the E2 structural protein of the acquired BVD virus (BVDV) isolates using genetic analysis.
Materials And Methods: The study period shows that we performed the research in 2023.

Classical Swine Fever (CSF), a highly contagious viral disease affecting pigs and wild boar, results in significant economic losses in the swine industry. In endemic regions, prophylactic vaccination and stamping-out strategies are used to control CSF outbreaks. However, sporadic outbreaks and persistent infections continue to be reported.

The forward design of in vitro enzymatic reaction networks (ERNs) requires a detailed analysis of network kinetics and potentially hidden interactions between the substrates and enzymes. Although flow chemistry allows for a systematic exploration of how the networks adapt to continuously changing conditions, the analysis of the reaction products is often a bottleneck. Here, we report on the interface between a continuous stirred-tank reactor, in which an immobilized enzymatic network made of 12 enzymes is compartmentalized, and an ion mobility-mass spectrometer.
