Increasing aquaculture production requires high-density farming, which induces stress, necessitating supplements to mitigate its effects and ensure fish health. The aim of this study was to examine how CaNa2EDTA (EDTA) affects the growth, immune response and antioxidant activity in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The fish were raised at three different stocking densities: low (LD = 2.

Low back pain (LBP) is a highly prevalent disorder frequently related to biomechanical alterations. Movement pattern assessments have a role in the rehabilitation management of patients with LBP; however, a precise assessment is challenging in routine clinical settings. Thus, this study aims to assess the biomechanical alterations related to LBP through the development and application of an innovative assessment tool named CameraLab.

Background: Thrombin prefers substrates carrying Arg at the site of cleavage (P1) because of the presence of D189 in the primary specificity (S1) pocket but can also cleave substrates carrying Phe at P1. The structural basis of this property is unknown.
Objective: Solve the X-ray structure of thrombin bound to a ligand carrying Phe at P1 and investigate the effects of replacing D189.

Predicting symptom progression in first-episode psychosis (FEP) is crucial for tailoring treatment and improving outcomes. Temporal lobe function, indicated by neurophysiological biomarkers like N100, predicts symptom progression and correlates with untreated psychosis. Our recent report showed that source-localized magnetoencephalography (MEG) M100 responses to tones in an oddball paradigm predicted recovery in FEP positive symptoms.
