The quality of dentures is most fully evaluated by corrosion resistance of their polished surfaces. The main drawback of steel dentures is due to the structure of stainless steel as a metallurgical alloy: it possesses carbide and titanium nitride microclots (liquations). Other shortcoming of technological processes of permanent denture making are such operations as chemical etching and soldering. Use of new finishing technologies will minimize the intensity of electrochemical processes in the oral cavity. The quality of a permanent denture can be evaluated by roughness and trace defects of its functional surfaces.
