Effective global action against antimicrobial resistance (AMR) relies on the successful synthesis and translation of rigorous scientific evidence into policy and practice. Despite a call in 2019 by the Interagency Coordination Group on AMR to establish a policy-science interface, and the reaffirmation to establish a scientific panel in the 2024 Political Declaration on Antimicrobial Resistance, no authoritative entity currently exists that synthesizes the scientific evidence on AMR and outlines policy options based on the best scientific insight. A Scientific Panel on Evidence for Action against AMR (SPEA) could address this gap, as well as contribute to additional governance gaps in the space of AMR, by facilitating better global coordination and cooperation; establishing real-time evidence to guide policy actions; and monitoring progress towards any globally agreed upon AMR goals and targets.

Background: Although the curriculum has changed, assessment tools are not in alignment with the new types of teaching such as early clinical exposure (ECE) and self-directed learning. Both in summative and formative assessment most commonly used tools for assessment of cognitive domain are written formats including MCQ. However, these assessment tools such as MCQ and written essays cannot assess the higher order thinking skills and clinical reasoning skills.

Attending closely to the lived experiences of people moving in and out of Medicaid-funded institutions, I argue that "the streets" are critical to understanding healthcare in US urban poverty. Exploring the relationship between "the streets" and Medicaid-funded institutions, this essay asks: How does the relationship between "the streets"-and in the words of my research interlocutors-"life on the other side" shape life in Medicaid-funded institutions in the Northeast US city? How do the social and symbolic conditions of this relationship-conditions structured by anti-Blackness-formulate the human in urban poverty? By joining Medicaid-funded institutions together as a broader health-governing network, I demonstrate how these institutions become boundary spaces that reveal the socially and symbolically interdependent worlds of "the streets" and life off them. Ultimately, this essay argues that "the streets" contain the social and symbolic conditions that dehumanize the poor through the logics of anti-Blackness, thus defining the terms of humanization that Medicaid-funded institutions afford.
