Urethrovaginal fistulas are rare complications often arising from urethrovaginal injuries commonly due to obstetrical trauma, urethral surgeries, pelvic fractures, or neoplastic treatments. Here, we present a unique case involving a 23-year-old female patient with a large urethrovaginal fistula and complete anterior vaginal wall sloughing following prolonged obstructed labor. Nine months post-cesarean, she reported urine leakage via the vagina upon catheter removal, which intensified in an erect posture.

Despite the widespread use of perirectal spacers to reduce radiation-induced rectal toxicity during prostate cancer treatment, postmarketing data reveal rare but significant complications. This case report details a severe complication of rectourethral fistula necessitating robotic pelvic exenteration with urinary and faecal diversion following perirectal spacer placement. Although SpaceOAR has been shown to reduce rectal radiation dose, the ensuing clinical benefit remains inconclusive in real-world data.

Background MRI-guided focal laser ablation (FLA) is a promising treatment in localized prostate cancer (PCa). MRI-guided micro-US FLA shows potential for outpatient use, but its clinical application remains unexplored. Purpose To evaluate the safety, feasibility, and 12-month functional and oncologic outcomes of MRI-guided micro-US transperineal FLA in localized PCa and to assess the accuracy of micro-US in showing lesions depicted at MRI with Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System (PI-RADS) score of 3 or higher.

Objective: This study aims to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis to compare the incidence of specific postoperative urologic complications, such as vesicovaginal fistula and ureterovaginal fistula, in patients undergoing minimally invasive radical hysterectomy (MIRH) versus abdominal radical hysterectomy (ARH) for early-stage cervical cancer.

Data Sources: A comprehensive literature search was conducted in PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar up to April 2024.

Method: Comparative studies evaluating postoperative urologic complications following MIRH and ARH were included.
