Significant tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is seen as a relevant contributor of cardiac morbidity and mortality. Transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) is a novel technique to treat this condition. We present the case of an 82-year-old lady who was admitted for recurrent right heart decompensation despite having undergone treatment with tricuspid edge-to-edge repair (TEER).

Cardiovascular diseases, characterized by high morbidity, disability, and mortality rates, are a collective term for disorders affecting the heart's structure or function. In clinical practice, physicians often manually delineate the left ventricular border on echocardiograms to obtain critical physiological parameters such as left ventricular volume and ejection fraction, which are essential for accurate cardiac function assessment. However, most state-of-the-art models focus excessively on pushing the boundaries of segmentation accuracy at the expense of computational complexity, overlooking the substantial demand for high-performance computing resources required for model inference in clinical applications.

Objective: Transventricular beating-heart mitral valve repair (TBMVR) with artificial chordae implantation is a technique to treat mitral valve prolapse. Two-dimensional (2D) echocardiography completed with simultaneous biplane view during surgeon finger pushing on the left ventricular (LV) wall (finger test [FT]) is currently used to localize the desired LV access, on the inferior-lateral wall, between the papillary muscles (PMs). We aimed to compare a new three-dimensional (3D) method with conventional FT in terms of safety and better localization of LV access.

Device-induced aortic obstruction is a known rare complication following transcatheter closure of patent ductus arteriosus in extremely low-birth-weight infants. Various mechanisms have been proposed. We report the first description of late aortic obstruction due to ductal vasoconstriction on pulmonic end causing device to be gradually pushed out of aortic end in a 980-gram premature infant.

In the typical left-to-right patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), the shunt flows from the ductus arteriosus towards the pulmonary valve. Although hemodynamic changes have been carefully studied in dogs with PDA, there is very little information on the outcomes of the pulmonary valve after surgical correction of PDA. This study aimed to visualize the pulmonary valve by transthoracic echocardiography in dogs with PDA before and after surgical ligation.
