Double-stranded polynucleotide polyadenylate-polyuridylate (Poly AU) enhanced skin tumor formation in Swiss mice by 75% when injected prior to a single application of 7,12-dimethylbenzanthracene (DMBA). When given after the carcinogen application Poly AU did not significantly enhance tumor formation.
