Future 7G/8G networks are expected to integrate both terrestrial Internet and space-based networks. Space networks, including inter-planetary Internet such as cislunar and deep-space networks, will become an integral part of future 7G/8G networks. Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication networks will also be a significant component of 7G/8G networks.

We fit ongoing 40+-year mark-recapture databases from the thriving southern right whale (SRW), , and highly endangered North Atlantic right whale (NARW), , to candidate survival models to estimate their life spans. Median life span for SRW was 73.4 years, with 10% of individuals surviving past 131.

Background: Underground research laboratories (URLs) provide a window on the deep biosphere and enable investigation of potential microbial impacts on nuclear waste, CO and H stored in the subsurface. We carried out the first multi-year study of groundwater microbiomes sampled from defined intervals between 140 and 400 m below the surface of the Horonobe and Mizunami URLs, Japan.
Results: We reconstructed draft genomes for > 90% of all organisms detected over a four year period.

Background: Insecticide resistance is jeopardising malaria control efforts in Africa. Deciphering the evolutionary dynamics of mosquito populations country-wide is essential for designing effective and sustainable national and subnational tailored strategies to accelerate malaria elimination efforts. Here, we employed genome-wide association studies through pooled template sequencing to compare four eco-geographically different populations of the major vector, Anopheles funestus, across a South North transect in Cameroon, aiming to identify genomic signatures of adaptive responses to insecticides.

The origin of water in the Earth-Moon system is a pivotal question in planetary science, particularly with the need for water resources in the race to establish lunar bases. The candidate origins of lunar water are an indigenous lunar component, solar wind water production, and the delivery of meteoritic and cometary material. Characterizing the oxygen isotopic composition of water provides information on lunar oxygen sources.
