Background: Child Protection Legal Systems around the world work to toe the line between protecting children from possible harms and avoiding inflicting further harm by mistreating or misrecognizing the problems the children in question are facing. Despite growing efforts to enhance children's participation in child protection proceedings, there is still a lot of criticism from families and children directed at the state and the legal system.
Objective: This inquiry attempts to locate at least one of the reasons for such criticism - the feeling of being excluded from the decision-making process.

Lung cancer remains a predominant cause of cancer-related deaths, with notable disparities in incidence and outcomes across racial and gender groups. This study addresses these disparities by developing a computational framework leveraging explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) to identify both patient- and cohort-specific biomarker genes in lung cancer. Specifically, we focus on two lung cancer subtypes, Lung Adenocarcinoma (LUAD) and Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma (LUSC), examining distinct racial and sex-specific cohorts: African American males (AAMs) and European American males (EAMs).

The optimization in the ambulance dispatching process is significant for patients who need early treatments. Background And Objectives: The Kenya Emergency Medical Care (EMC) Policy 2020-2030 was created to guide the advancement of EMC throughout Kenya. This report describes and maps the ongoing EMC policy development process across Kenya's 47 counties, serving as a real-world example of EMC policy development within a decentralized healthcare system in a low-or middle-income country (LMIC).
Methods: This report evaluates the development of county-specific EMC policies using the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) six stages for policy development: 1) problem identification, 2) agenda setting, 3) policy design, 4) approval, 5) implementation, and 6) monitoring and evaluation.
