Smokeless tobacco (SLT) remains a threat amongst a large population across the globe and particularly in India. The oral use of tobacco has been implicated to cause physiological stress leading to extreme toxicological challenge. The study included 47 SLT-users and 44 non-users providing a spectrum of pathophysiological, clinico-biochemical, antioxidant parameters, cell cycle progression study of PBMC and morphological changes of red blood cells (RBC).

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of clinical and biochemical effects of subconjunctival bevacizumab injection in eyes with corneal neovascularization (CNV) due to varied etiologies.
Methods: This prospective interventional case series included 12 eyes of 12 patients with CNV after failed therapeutic penetrating keratoplasty (4 eyes), viral keratitis (4 eyes), adherent leucoma (2 eyes), and pseudophakic bullous keratopathy (2 eyes). Each eye received 3 doses of 1.
The aim of this work was to evaluate liver function in subjects suffering from viral hepatitis and concomitant narcotic dependence. Clinico-biochemical, virologic, and morphological studies involving 92 patients revealed a number of specific features of chronic viral hepatitis complicated by drug addiction. However, the majority of them could be reliably identified only by a quantitative microscopic method.

Material And Methods: A total of 37 patients with HbsAg and anti-HCV, 23 patients with chronic hepatitis C and 48 patients with chronic hepatitis B were examined (the study and comparison groups, respectively). 67 HbsAg carriers with normal, hepatic parameters (no clinical symptoms, normal transaminase activity) served controls.
Aim: To study histological, clinical features and prognosis in patients with fatty hepatosis (FH) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
Material And Methods: Clinical and laboratory data on 74 patients with FH of non-alcoholic origin were studied. All the patients have undergone puncture biopsy of the liver (a total of 91 biopsies).
