The periodontal ligament (PDL) is a connective tissue, and PDL cells have a potential to differentiate into cementoblasts, osteoblasts, and gingival fibroblasts. This study investigated whether transcription factor c-Myb could induce differentiation of PDL cells for periodontal regeneration. PDL cells were isolated from extracted teeth and cultured.

Oncolytic adenoviruses derived from human serotype 5 (Ad5) are being developed to treat cancer. Treatment efficacy could be affected by pre-existing or induced neutralizing antibodies (NAbs), in particular in repeat administration strategies. Several oncolytic adenoviruses that are currently in clinical development have modified fiber proteins to increase their infectivity.

Aims/hypothesis: Emerging evidence underscored the significance of leucine-rich repeat-containing G protein-coupled receptor (LGR) 4 in endocrine and metabolic disorders. Despite this, its role in LGR4 in hepatic glucose metabolism remains poorly understood. In this study we set out to test whether LGR4 regulates glucose production in liver through a specific signaling pathway.
