Smart fibers with tunable luminescence properties, as a new form of visual output, present the potential to revolutionize personal living habits in the future and are receiving more and more attention. However, a huge challenge of smart fibers as wearable materials is their stretching capability for seamless integration with the human body. Herein, stretchable thermochromic fluorescent fibers are prepared based on self-crystallinity phase change, using elastic polyurethane (PU) as the fiber matrix, to meet the dynamic requirements of the human body.

Hexachlorobutadiene (HCBD), as an emerging persistent organic pollutant, poses a pressing global environmental issue concerning its reduction and control. However, the lack of systematic studies on the sources and occurrence of HCBD hinders the development of effective disposal technologies. This study addresses HCBD prevention and treatment from multiple perspectives, including source emissions, environmental contamination distribution, and control technologies.

Foreign body (FB) ingestion and aspiration are frequent causes of pediatric emergency room visits, with significant morbidity and mortality risks. This cross-sectional study analyzed 1,052 pediatric patients admitted for suspected FB events at a single institution between 2008 and 2015, including 886 cases of suspected ingestion and 166 cases of suspected aspiration. Cluster analysis identified three distinct clusters for both groups, with respiratory symptoms being predominant in clusters with worse outcomes.
