In this study, the case has been reported of a 36-year old male who was treated at the Ibn Rochd Oncology Center in Casablanca for a primary mediastinal seminoma revealed by a symptomatology including cough, dyspnea, laterocervical swelling, rachidial pain and gait disorder. The preliminary investigation showed significant mediastinal enlargement with a right pleuritis and vertebral metastases; tumor markers were normal. The diagnosis of seminoma was confirmed by pathological and immunohistochemical analysis of the cervical adenopathy. Disease management consisted of BEP/cisplatin type chemotherapy and lumbar, mediastinal, and supraclavicular radiotherapy. The response after four courses of combined chemo-/radiotherapy was estimated at 25%, but the patient died from respiratory failure five months after the initiation of treatment.

We report the case of a 39-year-old patient who complains about loss of libido and erectile dysfunction. Hormonal diagnosis revealed hypergonadotropic hypogonadism suggesting a primitive testicular cause. Testicular examination, testicular ultrasounds and abdomen-pelvis CT scan made it possible to suspect a right testicular tumor.

The treatment of patients affected by a teratoma with somatic-type malignancy (STM) is challenging, since they are characterized by a poor prognosis, due to chemoresistance to standard cisplatin-based regimens. Only five more case reports were described for melanomatous STM and for which there are no data available for efficacy evidences of immune checkpoint inhibitors in this setting. Here we report the case of a patient with an initial diagnosis of mediastinal pure seminoma at the first biopsy.

Extragonadal germ cell tumors (GCTs) are a rare group of neoplasms that account for 1%-5% of all GCTs. These tumors can present with an unpredictable behavior and clinical manifestations depending on different factors such as histological subtype, anatomical site, and clinical stage. We report the case of a 43-year-old male patient with a primitive extragonadal seminoma located in the paravertebral dorsal region, an extremely rare site.
