The diagnostic work up of patients with symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia is not always useful for diagnosing bladder outlet obstruction, especially if they are compared with pressure-flow studies. The authors make a review of the literature and a clinical study to demonstrate that alternative less invasive methods (ultrasound estimated bladder weight) can often replace pressure/flow studies.

Objective: Elevated intracranial pressure (ICP), a common complication in traumatic brain injuries (TBI), can lead to optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) enlargement and flow spectrum changes from the internal carotid artery (ICA) to middle cerebral artery (MCA). This study will investigate the use of Cervical-Cerebral Arterial Ultrasound (CCAU) for non-invasive ICP assessment and evaluating the related indices' clinical utility in TBI patients with decompressive craniotomy (DC).
Methods: ONSD and flow spectrum changes were measured within 24 h after DC in 106 patients via ultrasonic ONSD measurement and CCAU, simultaneously.

Objective: This study aimed to develop and validate a diagnostic model for gouty arthritis by integrating ultrasonographic radiomic features with clinical parameters.
Methods: A total of 604 patients suspected of having gouty arthritis were enrolled and randomly divided into a training set (n = 483) and a validation set (n = 121) in a 4:1 ratio. Univariate and multivariate analyses were conducted on the clinical data to identify statistically significant clinical features for constructing an initial diagnostic model.

Objectives: Ultrasound is a promising low-risk imaging modality that can provide objective airway measurements that may circumvent limitations of drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE). This study was devised to identify ultrasound-derived anatomical measurements that could accurately predict collapse pattern and location based on the VOTE criteria (VOTE: Velum, Oropharynx, Tongue, and Epiglottis).
Methods: Ultrasonography was performed on 20 adult patients of various airway subsites while awake and sedated with concurrent endoscopy performed during drug-induced sleep.

Background: Many factors, such as decreased spinal mobility, pain, and dysfunction can affect gait parameters in patients with ankylosing spondylitis. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of plantar fascia enthesitis and disease-specific measurements on gait parameters in patients with ankylosing spondylitis.
Methods: The Win-Track platform was used to evaluate spatiotemporal parameters in patients with ankylosing spondylitis and in healthy controls.
