Background: An anomalous left vertebral artery (aLVA) can complicate aortic arch surgery. We examined the safety of various aLVA revascularization strategies during open total arch replacement.
Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 92 patients undergoing total arch replacement from January 2018 to May 2023 and identified 11 patients with aLVA.

Background: The cardiovascular benefits of surgical repair in pectus excavatum (PEx) continue to be debated, with limited data supporting repair in adult patients. Hepatic vein flow is used to identify right-sided diastolic dysfunction in cardiovascular disorders, including tricuspid stenosis, cardiac tamponade, and constrictive pericarditis. This study evaluates the effects of cardiac compression on diastolic function (as assessed by hepatic vein flow patterns and velocities) before and after repair of PEx.

Background: Postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) is common after cardiac operations, and effective intraoperative techniques aimed at reducing POAF focus on limiting left atrial triggers through posterior pericardiotomy or pulmonary vein isolation. Prophylactic left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) is increasingly used in hopes of preventing POAF-associated strokes. We sought to compare the incidence of POAF in patients undergoing prophylactic LAAO with or without a prophylactic non-atriotomy surgical ablation (NASA).

Objective: Provide an evidence-based basis for the selection of cardiovascular benefit drugs in Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with cardiovascular disease (CVD).
Methods: Conduct a comprehensive search of all relevant literature from PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and Clinical Trials.gov from their establishment until December 13, 2023, and select randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that meet the pre-established inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Objectives: To form a unique body weight support-Tai Chi Yunshou (BWS-TCY) training method, apply it to the treatment of upper limb dysfunction after stroke, and provide a new safe and effective treatment method for the clinic.
Methods: A total of 93 subjects were recruited and randomly divided into conventional rehabilitation treatment (CRT) group, BWS-TCY group and traditional robot-assisted training (RAT) group in equal proportions. Subjects in the CRT group received 60 minutes of CRT daily.
