Maintaining physical activity and the development of physical and cognitive functions are essential especially in vulnerable populations such as children. Considering the substantial impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on preschool children and the lack of research focusing on this age group, this study examined the duration of physical activity among preschool-aged children on weekend days and its relationship with the environment. This study was conducted between October and November 2021, with the cooperation of 357 parents of preschoolers attending kindergartens, nurseries, and childcare centers.

The paediatric reception unit for children at risk plays an active role in raising awareness and training caregivers in the region, to facilitate the identification and care of children who are victims of sexual violence within the family (incest), within the hospital where it is based, and through its close links with child protection agencies. The nursery nurse is an essential member of this team, with her in-depth knowledge of children and their development from 0 to 18 years of age.

For many professionals, coercive control is still a new concept. Yet all caregivers should be familiar with it, in order to be aware of and understand domestic violence. This article, based on the experience of a nursery nurse, looks at the ways in which such violence can be identified, particularly during maternal and child protection missions.

This is a qualitative study developed at the pediatric inpatient unit of a university hospital in the city of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. This article examines the relationship between maternal exposure to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), intimate partner violence (IPV), and two aspects of maternal mental well-being-stress and depressive symptoms in the context of Tirana, Albania.
