Gradenigo syndrome consists of the association of otitis media, facial pain in regions innervated by the first and second division of trigeminal nerve and abducens nerve paralysis. It is caused by osteitis of the petrous apex (PA) and is a very rare complication of otitis media. Its treatment usually consists in mastoidectomy and antibiotics. We report a case of a 6-year-old child, which was managed medically with a positive outcome.

Introduction: The advocacy Women Against Lung Cancer in Europe (WALCE) promoted the European Program for the Routine Testing of Patients With Advanced Lung Cancer (EPROPA) and provided a free-of-charge molecular profiling platform for NSCLC sample characterization with the aim of increasing the detection of targetable drivers and improving patients' access to clinical trials in Europe.

Methods: From January 2021 to December 2023, 20 centers located at five different European countries (Greece, Slovenia, Romania, Albania, and Italy) joined EPROPA, with 555 patients with advanced NSCLC registered to the program. Anonymized patients' clinical-pathological data were shared through the EPROPA web platform and tissue samples were collected at the Molecular Pathology Unit of the Reference Center (University of Turin) for molecular analyses.

Unlabelled: 3 M syndrome is a well-known autosomal recessive skeletal genetic disorder caused by biallelic pathogenic variants in the CUL7, OBSL1, and CCDC8 genes. Affected individuals exhibit profound pre- and postnatal growth retardation, distinctive facial features with normal intelligence. This study aims to provide insight into the comprehensive evaluation of clinical, laboratory, and radiological findings, expand the mutational spectrum of the disease, and establish a genotype-phenotype correlation in the present cases.

There are several causative pathogens of petrous apicitis, including and species, while is the most common. However, the case report literature often describes antibiotic management of GS with antibiotics that do not cover , potentially predisposing to further intracranial complications or mortality.
