Introduction And Importance: Follicular cystitis (FC) is a rare inflammatory disorder of the bladder that predominantly affects women. The exact cause of FC remains largely unknown, although it has been associated with inflammatory processes and bacterial infections, particularly following urinary tract infections. Background: Very late-onset schizophrenia-like psychosis (VLOSLP) is a psychotic disorder with an age of onset ≥60 years, and social isolation is a risk factor. Reports on the impact of interventions for isolation and loneliness on psychiatric symptoms in VLOSLP are limited.

Case Presentation: An 87-year-old woman, widowed and living alone, developed psychosis, including paranoia, erotomania, and visual hallucinations, at 84 years old during a period when her interactions with others were limited by the COVID-19 pandemic and osteoarthritis.

Background: Computed tomography (CT) assessment is the standard for predicting coronary obstruction (CO) caused by sinus sequestration (SS) during transcatheter aortic valve (TAV) implantation in degenerated TAV (TAV-in-TAV) procedure, but it may not always be accurate. This report describes a prediction method for CO by using balloon aortic valvuloplasty (BAV) during TAV-in-TAV.

Case Summary: An 87-year-old woman with a history of balloon-expandable transcatheter heart valve (BE-THV) implantation 7 years prior was admitted with worsening dyspnoea.

Ceftriaxone is widely used clinically but it can potentially cause ceftriaxone encephalopathy in individuals who are on dialysis. We describe ceftriaxone encephalopathy in a dialysis patient. The 87-year-old Japanese woman had a 9-year dialysis history.
