In this paper, 3 species of Scrophulariaceae which are found in Sichuan for the first time and 15 species of the same plant with their medical effects are reported. All of these species are described in detail including their distributions, environments and functions.

The dried flowers and inflorescences of Buddleja officinalis Maxim are used as traditional medicines in China, and aqueous extracts of the flowers have also been used since ancient times as a yellow rice colorant at local festivals. In this study, HPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS was used to determine the overall chemical composition of this medicine-food plant. A total of 54 compounds, including 23 flavonoids, 19 phenylethanoid glycosides, 7 alkaloids and 5 other compounds, were detected in the methanol extracts of the herb using this method.

Objective: To study the serum proteome of rat endotoxemia treated by figwort root (FR).
Method: The differences of serum proteome among rats treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS), FR, LPS + FR and saline respectively were analyzed by two-dimensional electrophoresis (2DE) assay.
Result: The volumes of sixteen serum proteins (xPr) in LPS induced-endotoxemia group were greatly changed compared with those of the control group.
