Objectives: Vascular access thrombosis (VAT) is a common complication in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), significantly impacting hemodialysis efficacy and patient survival. Currently, temporary dialysis access is typically established deep vein catheterization (VC), however, this method is highly invasive and associated with risks of infection and other complications. This study aims to explore the feasibility of using direct anastomosis indwelling needle puncture (DAINP) for temporary dialysis access.

Background: Our understanding of osteoarthritis (OA) has evolved from a degenerative disease to one in which low-grade, chronic inflammation plays a central role. In addition, evidence suggests that OA is accompanied by both peripheral and central nervous system sensitization that can cause pain. It has been demonstrated that transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation (tVNS) can relieve pain, inflammation, and central sensitization in other conditions including fibromyalgia, pelvic pain, and headaches.

Lichen planus is a chronic skin lesion characterized by pruritic violaceous papules, which has a high risk of morbidity. Skin microbiota plays an important role in the maintenance of cutaneous mucosal barrier and human health and immune homeostasis. Studies have shown that skin microbiota may play a role in the pathogenesis of lichen planus, but it is not yet clear.

Direct repair of ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) injuries with suture augmentation has been successful in properly selected patients lacking chronic attritional wear of the medial elbow. Described is a Speed-Fix technique for direct UCL repair using SutureTape, with Brace augmentation. The Speed-Fix repair technique uses an inverted mattress knotless repair with a knotless SwiveLock anchor and FiberTape suture, which allows for theoretical compression at the repair site.
