We aimed to compare sleep problems in autistic and non-autistic adults with co-occurring depression and anxiety. The primary research question was whether autism status influences sleep quality, after accounting for the effects of depression and anxiety. We hypothesized that autistic adults would report higher levels of depression, anxiety, and sleep problems compared to non-autistic adults, after controlling for these covariates.

The authors assessed 171 videos through two health literacy tools, DISCERN and the Patient Education Materials Assessment Tool for Audiovisual Materials, to rate the understandability and actionability of online medical content. The findings from this study encourage health care professionals to use social media platforms to provide factual information about diabetes and advise online health care consumers to use reputable sources such as trusted diabetes organizations' social media accounts, which tend to validate content with clinicians.

Nephrology nurses working in hemodialysis units face unique challenges managing multiple patients - an experience often contributing to higher levels of burnout and stress, and potentially lower job satisfaction and retention rates, exacerbating the existing nursing shortage in dialysis settings. Targeted strategies are essential to improve job satisfaction. In this study, we explored the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction among nephrology nurses working in acute and chronic hemodialysis settings.

Part-time clinical nurse instructors teach students in many nursing schools in the United States. They are often unprepared for this role and require instruction in teaching methods. We developed and evaluated an online orientation program to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for nurses to become confident clinical instructors.

The Age-Friendly Health System (AFHS) movement continues to grow in the United States as more health systems implement the 4Ms framework. Despite this growth, there are relatively few studies that evaluate outcomes related to AFHS implementation. This study assessed patient satisfaction with AFHS by analyzing the rate at which patients returned to the clinic for future health care, serving as a measure of quality.
