Experimental evidence is reported of an internal kink instability driven by a new mechanism: barely trapped suprathermal electrons produced by off-axis electron cyclotron heating on the DIII-D tokamak. It occurs in plasmas with an evolving safety factor profile q(r) when q(min) approaches 1. This instability is most active when ECCD is applied on the high field side of the flux surface. It has a bursting behavior with poloidal/toroidal mode number = m/n = 1/1. In positive magnetic shear plasmas, this mode becomes the fishbone instability. This observation can be qualitatively explained by the drift reversal of the barely trapped suprathermal electrons.

In this work, we use the ansatz transformation functions to investigate different analytical rational solutions by symbolic computation. For the (2+1)-dimensional Calogero-Bogoyavlenskii Schiff (CBS) model, we derive a variety of rational solutions, such as homoclinic breather solutions (HBs), M-shaped rational solutions (MSRs), periodic cross-rationals (PCRs), multi-wave solutions (MWs), and kink cross-rational solutions (KCRs). Their dynamic is shown in figures by selecting appropriate values for the pertinent parameters.

Coarctation of the aorta (CoA) comprises 5-7% of congenital heart disease and can present as an isolated narrowing in the aortic arch just distal to the left subclavian artery or can be associated with cardiac abnormalities such as a bicuspid aortic valve, aortopathy, or ventricular septal defects. With the advances in the medical field, intervention on CoA can either be via surgical repair or endovascular stenting. Echocardiography is the mainstay in diagnosing CoA, with tomographic imaging such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computed tomography providing supplementary assessment of the aorta, valves, and collateral vessels.

(1) Background: Long COVID syndrome (LCS) is a heterogeneous long-standing condition following COVID-19 infection. Treatment options are limited to symptomatic measures, and no specific medication has been established. Hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) has been found to have a positive impact on the treatment of COVID-19 infection.
