: Brain tissue immersed in cerebrospinal fluid often exhibits complex mechanical behaviour, especially the nonlinear stress- strain and rate-dependent responses. Despite extensive research into its material properties, the impact of solution environments on the mechanical behaviour of brain tissue remains limited. This knowledge gap affects the biofidelity of head modelling.

Compared with leaner breeds, local Chinese pig breeds have distinct intestinal microbial, as determined by metagenomic techniques, and the interactions between oral microorganisms and their hosts are also gradually being clarified. However, the high host genome content means that few metagenome-based oral microbiomes have been reported. Here, we combined dilution-based metagenomic sequencing and binning approaches to extract the microbial genomes from the oral microbiomes of Tibetan and Duroc pigs.

The Beigang pig was recently identified as one of the endangered breeds during a Chinese indigenous pig genetic resource survey. The Beigang breed is notable for its remarkable roughage tolerance and high reproductive capacity according to historical records. Morphologically, the Beigang pig resembles many indigenous pigs in eastern China, especially in its large ears.

Vaccination stands as one of the most sustainable and promising strategies to control infectious diseases in animal production. Nevertheless, the causes for antibody response variation among individuals are poorly understood. The animal microbiota has been shown to be involved in the correct development and function of the host immunity, including the antibody response.

Background: Noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) is a kind of acquired sensorineural hearing loss and has shown an increasing incidence in recent years. Hence, elucidating the exact pathophysiological mechanisms and proposing effective treatment and prevention methods become the top priority. Though a great number of researches have been carried out on NIHL, few of them were focused on metabolites.
