The subtilisin-sodium dodecyl sulfate complex was shown to catalyze the coupling of peptide segments on a solid phase in organic medium. By a two-stage enzymic condensation of peptide fragments on aminosilochrom (A) containing Met-Ala-Gly as a spacer, Dnp(or Boc)-Ala-Ala-Leu-Ala-Ala-Glu(OMe)-Met-Ala-Gly-A and Z-Ala-Ala-Glu(OMe)-Ala-Ala-Leu-Met-Ala-Gly-A were obtained. It was shown that the condensation products can be split off from the support using the Met residue cleavage by BrCN.

Simulation of a liquid drop on a soft substrate.

Eur Phys J E Soft Matter

Department of Fundamental Physics, Faculty of Physics, Alzahra University, Tehran, 1993891167, Iran.

A liquid drop resting on a soft substrate is numerically simulated as an energy minimization problem. The elastic substrate is modeled as a cubic lattice of mass-springs, to which an energy term controlling the change of volume is associated. The interfacial energy between three phases of solid, liquid, and vapor is also introduced.

The continuous development and application of pesticides in agriculture require robust multiresidue detection methods to guarantee food safety. This study introduces a novel method for multiresidue determination of pesticides in eggplants using the QuEChERS procedure, incorporating a clean-up step using carbon nanotubes stabilized in chitosan sponge (CNT-CS) and ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) for analysis. Upon identifying the optimal extraction conditions, various sorbents were assessed for their efficacy in the dispersive solid-phase extraction (d-SPE).

Eosinophilic solid and cystic renal cell carcinoma (ESC-RCC) is rare and often misdiagnosed as clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Therefore, a CT-based scoring system was developed to improve differential diagnosis. Retrospectively, 25 ESC-RCC and 176 ccRCC cases, were collected.

In this project, a new heterogeneous polymeric ionic liquid catalyst based on vinylimidazole, stabilized on magnetic nanoparticles )FeO@AlO@[PBVIm]HSO) was prepared. Then the desired catalyst was identified by TGA, FT-IR, VSM, and TEM techniques. The efficiency of this catalyst was measured in the synthesis of chromene, xanthene, and dihydropyrimidinone.

Polymorphism and magnetism in a Kitaev honeycomb cobaltate KCoAsO.

Sci Rep

January 2025

Department of Applied Physics and Chemical Engineering, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Koganei, Tokyo, 184-8588, Japan.

We report the synthesis, crystal structure, and magnetic properties of a new Kitaev honeycomb cobaltate, KCoAsO, which crystallizes in two distinct forms: P2/c and R[Formula: see text] space groups. Magnetic measurements reveal ordering temperatures of ~ 14 K for the P2/c structure and ~ 10.5 K for the R[Formula: see text] structure.
