The sodium phosphate cotransporter-2A (NPT2A) mediates basal and parathyroid hormone (PTH)- and fibroblast growth factor-23 (FGF23)-regulated phosphate transport in proximal tubule cells of the kidney. Both basal and hormone-sensitive transport require sodium hydrogen exchanger regulatory factor-1 (NHERF1), a scaffold protein with tandem PDZ domains, PDZ1 and PDZ2. NPT2A binds to PDZ1.

Background: Embryo implantation involves two key elements: a good quality embryo and receptive endometrium. Endometrial receptivity abnormalities are known as one of the possible causes of recurrent implantation failure (RIF), especially when the embryo is euploid. This study was aimed to evaluate the impact of age and other clinical factors on endometrial receptivity in women with RIF.

Background: Sarcopenia, which is associated with many pathways and molecular mechanisms, not only deteriorates the quality of life in old age but is also linked to various diseases. The ratio between cortisol and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS) was utilized as a candidate method to diagnose sarcopenia. The hormones can fluctuate in concentration throughout the day, so monitoring the ratio between the two hormones is necessary.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD), Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB), and other neurodegenerative diseases (NDD) develop over an extended preclinical period, sharing common risk factors and underlying pathophysiological mechanisms. Plasma proteins, including Amyloid‐beta peptides (Aβ) and Tau isoforms, facilitate differential diagnosis of NDD in their earliest stages, allowing for timely delivery of targeted interventions. Blood‐based biomarkers may also serve as a reliable means of monitoring disease progression and evaluating the effectiveness of individualized interventions across the spectrum of disease.
