Background: Transnasal videoendoscopy (TVE) is the standard of care when staging pharyngolaryngeal lesions. This prospective study determined if preoperative TVE improves the prediction of difficult videolaryngoscopic intubation in adults with expected difficult airway management in addition to the Simplified Airway Risk Index (SARI).
Methods: 374 anesthetics were included (252 with preoperative TVE).

This clinical report describes the implementation of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to evaluate a patient with long-standing velopharyngeal dysfunction. She was referred to the craniofacial clinic at age 10 with no prior surgical history and subsequently completed a Furlow palatoplasty due to a suspected submucous cleft palate. However, results were unfavorable with minimal improvement in speech or resonance.

Objective: To investigate a novel combined microinvasive trans-submandibular and nasendoscopy surgical approach for nasopharyngeal carcinoma involving the parapharyngeal space.
Methods: Seven patients diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma involving the parapharyngeal space between May 2018 and April 2021, two males and five females, aged 37-63 years.Six of the 7 patients underwent submental flap preparation and dissection of the lymph nodes in the upper neck and parapharyngeal space on the lesion side.
