The experience in surgical treatment of 269 patients with long bone chronic osteomyelitis based on the principles of active surgical policy for purulent wounds is summarized. Some aspects of osteomyelitis surgical treatment are reconsidered and complemented. Variants of osteomyelitic focus surgical debridement dependent on severity the lesion as well as methods of plastic replacement of bones' and soft tissues' defects are demonstrated.

Background: Patients with simultaneous ruptures of the patellar tendon (PT) and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) underwent PT repair and ACL reconstruction in a single or staged surgery. However, due to the limited cases, the design of previous studies was mostly case report with varying conclusions regarding recommended surgical strategy selection, the optimal surgical strategy remains a subject of debate.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective case series and literature review, including 10 cases from local institution and 27 cases from 17 studies.

We conducted a comparative study of the mammary gland microbiota in female Wistar rats and the microbiota associated with breast cancer (BC) induced by the administration of N-methyl-N-nitrosourea, after surgical treatment, photodynamic therapy (PDT), and chemotherapy (CT). Selective nutrient media and a smear-fingerprint technique were used to study the microbiota. Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Lactobacillus were found in the mammary glands of intact rats.
