Herein, we reported a case of herbal-induced fulminant cholestatic giant cell hepatitis due to garcinia cambogia use. A 65-year-old woman with breast cancer treated 18 years earlier was admitted for obstructive jaundice for 2 weeks.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to develop a numerical model of the eyeball and orbit to simulate a blunt injury to the eyeball leading to its rupture, as well as to conduct a comparative analysis of the results obtained using the finite element method against the clinical material concerning patients who had suffered an eyeball rupture due to a blunt force trauma.
Material And Methods: Using available sclera biometric and strength data, a numerical model of the eyeball, the orbital contents, and the bony walls were developed from the ground up. Then, 8 different blunt force injury scenarios were simulated.

Purpose: To evaluate the ciliary body mechanical load during low speed impact using finite element method to explain the mechanism of the cause of angle recession and cyclodialysis cleft.
Methods: Optical coherence tomography images were obtained to assess the patient's ciliary body angle recession. A finite element eye model was established based on Virginia Tech eye model with the consideration of dynamic impact of a projectile striking an eye.

Purpose: To present two cases of full-thickness corneal lacerations following crab claw injuries.
Observations: The first case is a 61-year-old male who presented to the emergency department (ED) with right-eye discharge, pain, and vision loss. Prior to presentation, the patient was with his friends on a fishing trip when one of them caught a crab and threw it to the patient, striking him in the right eye.

Collagen rich connective tissues fulfill a variety of important functions throughout the human body, most of which having to resist mechanical challenges. This review aims to compare structural and functional aspects of tendons and sclera, two tissues with distinct location and function, but with striking similarities regarding their cellular content, their extracellular matrix and their low degree of vascularization. The description of these similarities meant to provide potential novel insight for both the fields of orthopedic research and ophthalmology.
