Forty-two patients with benign hyperplasia of the prostate were studied for the role of symptomatic therapy with a selective adrenoblocker Cardura in the prophylaxis of progression of such diseases of the cardiovascular system as arterial hypertension, angina pectoris. The obstructive and irritative symptomatology-related uresis has been shown to get normalized. Also recordable in the conducted investigations was an alleviation of arterial hypertension together with a noticeable decrease in the frequency and severity of attacks of angina.
