Background: The synchronized absorption of amino acids (AAs) and glucose in the gut is crucial for effective AA utilization and protein synthesis in the body. The study investigated how the starch digestion rate and AA levels impact intestinal AA digestion, transport and metabolism, breast muscle protein metabolism, and growth in grower broilers. A total of 720 21-day-old healthy male Arbor Acres Plus broilers were randomly assigned to 12 treatments, each with 6 replicates of 10 birds.

The treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is known as a significant level of unmet medical need in spite of the progress in targeted therapy and personalized therapy. Overexpression of the Na/K-ATPase contributes to NSCLC progression, suggesting its potentiality in antineoplastic approaches. Epi-reevesioside F, purified from Reevesia formosana, showed potent anti-NSCLC activity through inhibiting the Na/K-ATPase, leading to internalization of α1- and α3-subunits in Na/K-ATPase and suppression of Akt-independent mTOR-p70S6K-4EBP1 axis.

The suppression mechanism of Tregs remains an intensely investigated topic. As our focus has shifted toward a model centered on indirect inhibition of DCs, a universally applicable effector mechanism controlled by the transcription factor forkhead box P3 (Foxp3) expression has not been found. Here, we report that Foxp3 blocked the transcription of ER Ca2+-release channel ryanodine receptor 2 (RyR2).

Abnormal activation of the extrasynaptic N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) contributes to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Ceftriaxone (Cef) can improve cognitive impairment by upregulating glutamate transporter-1 and promoting the glutamate-glutamine cycle in an AD mouse model. This study aimed to investigate the effects of Cef on synaptic plasticity and cognitive-behavioral impairment and to unravel the associated underlying mechanisms.
