Despite significant advancements, both diseases pose unique challenges due to their clinical and molecular heterogeneity, necessitating personalized approaches to patient selection, timing, and transplant management. For MDS, genomic profiling has revolutionized prognostic frameworks such as IPSS-M, enabling tailored therapeutic decisions.

Esophageal symptoms, including dysphagia, heartburn, and non-cardiac chest pain, are prevalent concerns in gastroenterology. This review examines the roles of advanced diagnostic modalities such as high-resolution manometry (HRM), pH-impedance monitoring, and EndoFLIP in understanding esophageal physiology and pathology. Here, we discuss the clinical presentations of common esophageal symptoms and explore how structural abnormalities like strictures and motility disorders, including achalasia and esophageal spasms, are assessed using these tools.

The number of rheumatoid arthritis patients in clinical remission has increased dramatically. We owe this progress to the advent of biotherapy in the 1990s, but also to a more focused therapeutic approach. Managing remission is therefore a contemporary challenge and raises many questions: Do biotherapies lead to a cure or to drug-induced remission? What are the chances of reducing or stopping treatment? What factors are associated with successful discontinuation? How and in what order to proceed when patients are taking several treatments at the same time? In this article, concrete, pragmatic answers based on the latest recommendations and current knowledge are provided.

Understanding the patterns and drivers of different facets of biodiversity is crucial for biodiversity conservation under global environmental change. In this study, we present the first assessment of the patterns of taxonomic, functional and phylogenetic diversity for 171 mammals in the giant panda range and their associations with climate, land use factors and topographic heterogeneity. We found that functional diversity showed a very different pattern with species richness and phylogenetic diversity.
