Background: The advanced stage of cancer is a determining factor in poor prognosis. Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC) are highly incident in Brazil, but similarly to many Low and Middle-Income Countries, data is limited regarding the proportion of tumours diagnosed at advanced clinical stages and the main factors associated with it. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the factors associated with advanced stage of HNSCC in Brazil.

Background: The current standard of care (SoC) for patients with extensive-disease small-cell lung cancer (ED-SCLC) is chemo-immunotherapy. The efficacy of radiotherapy (RT) for chest consolidation has been established for patients with ED-SCLC who have responded to chemotherapy. There is a lack of data on incorporating RT as chest consolidation and metastasis-directed therapy for ED-SCLC.

Background: Intratumoral oncolytic herpes simplex virus 2-GM CSF (OH2) injection has shown safety and antitumor efficacy in patients with solid tumors. Here, we examined the safety and efficacy of OH2 as a single agent or in combination with HX008, an NMPA-approved PD-1 inhibitor, in locally advanced or metastatic sarcoma patients.
Methods: This multicenter, phase 1/2 trial enrolled patients with injectable sarcoma lesions, who had failed at least 1 or more lines of standard treatment.

Background & Aims: The ubiquitin receptor ADRM1/Rpn13 governs the specificity of eukaryotic protein degradation. By SMRT sequencing, we first discovered a novel spliced variant of ADRM1 with a skipped exon 9, termed ADRM1-ΔEx9, in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study aimed to elucidate this novel ubiquitin receptor's underlying biology and clinical implications in HCC.

Clinically, it may resemble malignant disease, making diagnosis difficult and requiring a multidisciplinary team (gastroenterologist, endoscopist, radiologist, surgeon, pathologist). Two types of AIP are distinguished.
