The role of heparin in sepsis therapy has been widely debated. The controversy surrounding heparin's use as an anticoagulant in sepsis may stem from differences in sepsis definitions, study designs, timing and dosage of drug administration, treatment duration, complications, and patient severity. In this study, we aimed to determine the optimal timing and dosage of heparin in patients with sepsis, identify specific subgroups that could benefit from heparin therapy, and explore laboratory markers to assess its efficacy.

Vocal cord nodules (VCNs) can be treated with a variety of therapeutic approaches, with controversy regarding the optimal management. This review provides an overview of the most commonly used management strategies and their outcomes to enhance decision making. We conducted a systematic literature search on PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus to include relevant original articles published in peer-reviewed journals from inception through April 2024.

Current perioperative nutrition management is discouraging due to the under-recognition of clinical nutrition and the lagging development of clinical nutriology. This review aimed to identify and explore epidemiology, related adverse outcomes, controversies, and dilemmas of perioperative nutritional risk/malnutrition to call for further development of perioperative nutritional medicine. Background: Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is considered a potential treatment for autism spectrum disorders, aiming to improve the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms. It has been studied in several clinical trials, but the effectiveness is still controversial.
Purpose: This systematic review aimed to systematically evaluate the effectiveness of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the treatment of autism in children and adolescents.
