Background: Although several pharmacoeconomic studies have assessed the cost-effectiveness of maintenance immunosuppressive regimens for heart transplant recipients, economic comparisons between various combination drug therapies remain sparse.

Aim: This study used an economic evaluation based on network meta-analysis to assess the cost-effectiveness of four immunosuppressive regimens for adult heart transplant recipients in China.

Method: We conducted a systematic search for clinical trials in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data, and VIP database.

Impact of GAD65 and IA2 autoantibodies on islet allograft survival.

Front Clin Diabetes Healthc

November 2023

Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) and Clinical Cell Transplant Program, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Miami, FL, United States.

Introduction: Islet transplantation (ITx) shows promise in treating T1D, but the role of islet autoantibodies on graft survival has not been clearly elucidated. We aimed to analyze the effect of GAD65 and IA2 autoantibody status on graft survival and attainment of insulin independence in subjects with T1D who underwent ITx.

Method: We conducted a retrospective cohort study on 47 ITx recipients from 2000 to 2018.

Article Synopsis
  • * The patient exhibited a hemizygous mutation in the FOXP3 gene, leading to conditions such as hypereosinophilia, protein-losing enteropathy, and various forms of polyendocrinopathy, which complicated his health further.
  • * After struggling with multiple treatments and steroid dependence, the patient's condition improved significantly with dupilumab, an anti-IL4 receptor therapy aimed at controlling his symptoms effectively.

Simultaneous Determination of Everolimus, Sirolimus, Tacrolimus, and Cyclosporine-A by Mass Spectrometry.

Department of Medicine, Nephrology Division, Universidade Federal de São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil. Electronic address:

Measurement of immunosuppressive drug concentrations cyclosporine A (CyA), tacrolimus (TAC), sirolimus (SIR), and everolimus (EVE) in blood is an important application of therapeutic drug monitoring. These immunosuppressive agents are used in combined regimens and nowadays the liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry is the best option for simultaneous analysis of these drugs in one short run. We developed an liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry methodology in-house to measure the combination of immunosuppressants in a single blood sample from transplant patients in Brazil.

A high-throughput LC-MS/MS method for the quantification of four immunosu- ppressants drugs in whole blood.

Clin Chim Acta

November 2019

Department of Precision Instrument and Opto-Electronics Engineering, Tianjin University, 92 Weijin Road, Tianjin 300072, China. Electronic address:

Background: Immunoassays and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) are two major methods for therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of immunosuppressant drugs. Compared to the relatively limited analytical performance and cross reactivities of immunoassays, the LC-MS/MS method is considered as a gold standard; however, the lack of systematic evaluation and standardization needs to be addressed.

Methods: A LC-MS/MS method for the determination of cyclosporine A, sirolimus, tacrolimus, and everolimus was developed.
