The high-resolution Fourier transform spectra of the D(2)O molecule have been recorded and assigned in the 4200-5700 cm(-1) region where the vibration-rotation bands 2nu(1), 2nu(3), nu(1) + nu(3), nu(1) + 2nu(2), 2nu(2) + nu(3), and 4nu(2) are located. The presence of numerous and very strong accidental perturbations between the states of the hexad makes it necessary to take into account not only ordinary resonance interactions of the Fermi, Darling-Dennison, and/or Coriolis types, but interactions between the states (v(1)v(2)v(3)) and (v(1) -/+ 2v(2) +/- 2v(3) +/- 1) as well. Parameters of all six vibrational states of the hexad were obtained from the fit of experimental energy values. Copyright 2000 Academic Press.

Gamification has become a significant direction in designing technologies, services, products, organizational structures, and any human activities towards being more game-like and consequently being more engaging and motivating. Albeit its success, research indicates that personal differences exist with regards to susceptibility to gamification at large as well as to different types of gamification designs. As a response, models and measurement instruments of user types when it comes to gamification have been developed.

This paper presents the concept, design, construction, and validation of a novel probe based on the hexadic disposition of six pressure sensors suitable for measuring triaxial stress states inside bulky soft materials. The measurement of triaxial stress states inside bulk materials such as brain tissue surrogates is a challenging task needed to investigate internal organs' stress states and validate FE models. The purpose of the work was the development and validation of a 17 × 17 × 17 mm probe containing six pressure sensors.

Aqueous solutions of equimolar mixtures of 2,4,6-triaminopyrimidine (TAP) and carboxylic acid substituted cyanuric acid (CyCo6 or 4MeCyCo6) monomers self-assemble into gel-forming supramolecular polymers. Macroscopic fibers drawn from these mixtures were analyzed by X-ray diffraction to determine their molecular structures. Computational methods were used to explore the intrinsic intermolecular interactions that contribute to the structure and stability of these assemblies.

Human telomeric RNA (TERRA) containing thousands of G-rich repeats has the propensity to form parallel-stranded G-quadruplexes. The emerging crucial roles of TERRA G-quadruplexes in RNA biology fuel increasing attention for studying anticancer ligand binding with such structures, which, however, remains scarce. Here we utilized multiple steady-state and time-resolved spectroscopy analyses in conjunction with NMR methods and investigated thoroughly the binding behavior of TMPyP4 to a TERRA G-quadruplex dimer formed by the 10-nucleotide sequence r(GGGUUAGGGU).
