Glutathione-S-transferase alpha-1 () is an enzyme with high conjugation activity against aldophosphamide, a metabolite of cyclophosphamide and promoter polymorphisms in may influence the cyclophosphamide effectiveness. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness and side effects of cyclophosphamide in lupus nephritis patients, using variants as predictors. A case-control study was conducted at Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Bandung, Indonesia, involving 100 lupus nephritis patients from February 2023 to January 2024.

Imidacloprid (IMI), as an emerging pollutant, is frequently detected in pesticide wastewater. Cobalt-based single-atom catalysts (Co-SACs) doped with sulfur atoms can serve as an efficient strategy to activate peroxymonosulfate (PMS) and degrade organic pollutants. The paper employed density functional theory and computational toxicology to deeply explore the mechanism and ecotoxicity of IMI when S atoms were introduced into Co-SACs for PMS activation.

Traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI) is a serious medical condition that places patients at high risk of developing gastric ulceration and gastrointestinal bleeding. One preventative strategy involves the use of omeprazole; however, its chronic use is associated with adverse effects, highlighting the need for alternative therapies. This study evaluated the protective effects of methyl eugenol (ME) on gastric mucosal damage in a rat model of SCI.
