Various nanodrug vehicles were well-designed with complicated functions for tumor therapy. However, the unsatisfactory tumor delivery efficiency and uncertain off-target release became the stumbling block of the nanodrugs on the way to the clinic. Inspired by efficient tumor targeting ability of albumin, we reported a simplified biomimetic peptide-based vehicle synthesized by copolymerizing L-glutamyl-L-lysine unit (EK dimer, an intrinsic surface peptide pair from albumin) with L-phenylalanine (F) to encapsulate doxorubicin (Dox).

We previously demonstrate that PDGF-BB secreted by pre-osteoclasts in bone mediates cerebrovascular impairment during aging, but the bone-derived PDGF-BB in Alzheimer's disease (AD) progression is still uncertain.
Methods: MCI patients and two transgenic AD mouse models, App-ps1 and 5XFAD, were used to evaluated PDGF-BB level by ELISA measurement.

Background: Cardiometabolic disorders represent a pressing public health challenge and confer heightened susceptibility to age-related cognitive decline, including increased risk of developing Alzheimer's disease (AD). There is a strong genetic component underlying risks for these conditions, and human Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) have associated the PPP1R3B genetic locus with both cardiometabolic dysfunction and AD. PPP1R3B protein is primarily expressed in liver hepatocytes, regulating liver glycogen metabolism.

However, peripheral blood CD8 T cells have not been previously characterized in CAV. This study aimed to identify potentially pathogenic circulating CD8 T cell populations in high grade CAV patients using cellular indexing of transcriptomes and epitopes by sequencing (CITE-seq).

Introduction: Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is a complex condition characterized by metabolic dysfunction and myocardial lipotoxicity. The roles of PTEN-induced kinase 1 (PINK1) and peroxiredoxin-2 (Prdx2) in HFpEF pathogenesis remain unclear.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the interaction between PINK1 and Prdx2 to mitigate cardiac diastolic dysfunction in HFpEF.
