Genetic aspects in I. P. Pavlov's studies were assessed. Evidence is provided for that he was the first to raise a question as to experimental studies of the genetics of the higher nervous system and in the late 1920s to the early 1930s he laid its foundation in Koltushi. I. P. Pavlov recognized his first misinterpretation of inheritance of conditioned reflexes and decisively refused to recognized the inheritance of acquired behavioral traits. His interest in genetics gave impetus to the formation of medical genetics as a science in our country in the 1930s.
