Acute pancreatitis may involve remote organ systems, including the eye. Funduscopy may reveal in these rare cases presence of a typical ischemic retinopathy, similar to that diagnosed after severe traumas, known as the Purtscher's retinopathy. Pathogenesis of retinopathy in alcoholic retinopathy remains controversial: occurrence of fat embolism or leucothrombosis is discussed in the literature. The outcome of ischemic retinopathy in acute alcoholic pancreatitis is variable. Although there is no specific available treatment, its diagnosis may allow appropriate diagnosis of the causal disease when the general signs are not present.

Neovascular glaucoma is a rare and serious condition typically associated with advanced ocular or systemic vascular diseases such as central retinal vein occlusion or diabetic retinopathy. This report describes a unique case of neovascular glaucoma presenting for the first time as an initial symptom of bilateral occlusive retinal vasculitis (ORV) in a generally healthy 4-year-old girl. The patient presented with symptoms of pain and redness in the left eye, accompanied by high intraocular pressure.

Purpose: To report a rare case of a Coats-like response developing after vitreoretinal surgery for proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) and its successful management with retinal laser photocoagulation and adjunctive intravitreal steroids.
Case Description: A 52-year-old woman with a five-year history of type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension presented with decreased vision in the left eye (counting fingers at 1 m). Examination revealed high-risk PDR in both eyes, with a subtotal macula-off combined retinal detachment in the left eye.

Background: Central retinal vein occlusion and cilioretinal artery occlusion are rare but serious ocular conditions that can lead to significant visual impairment. While few cases of central retinal vein occlusion and cilioretinal artery occlusion have been individually reported, concurrent occlusion of both vessels is extremely rare, particularly in younger patients without traditional vascular risk factors. We present the first reported case of simultaneous central retinal vein occlusion and cilioretinal artery occlusion in a young female patient associated with short-term use of progestin-only oral contraceptives (OCPs).
