Published: January 2000

Thirteen patients with DSM-III-R diagnosis of either major depression or bipolar I depression participated in the study. The control group consisted of 10 subjects evaluated for headache or suspected meningitis, none of whom were found to suffer from any organic disease. CSF was withdrawn from all subjects for the measurement of soluble interleukin 2 receptor (sIL-2R). CSF sIL-2R levels were found to be lower in patients as compared to controls (df = 1, 20; F = 84; p<0.000001).

Objectives: To investigate the factors affecting laboratory data and computed tomography (CT) attenuation values of L1 trabecular and femoral bone marrow, potential markers for differentiating between adult-onset Still's disease and intravascular large B-cell lymphoma.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective observational study on patients diagnosed with adult-onset Still's disease or intravascular large B-cell lymphoma. Clinical and laboratory data, and CT attenuation values of the bone marrow were compared.

Clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) is associated with increased mortality and malignancy risk, yet the determinants of clonal expansion remain poorly understood. We performed sequencing at >4,000x depth of coverage for CHIP mutations in 6,986 postmenopausal women from the Women's Health Initiative at two timepoints approximately 15 years apart. Among 3,685 mutations detected at baseline (VAF ≥ 0.

To explore biomarkers for the efficacy of lymphocyte immunotherapy (LIT) treating women with unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion (URSA). Serum samples from 24 URSA potients who received LIT were collected at Peking University Third Hospital from December 2014 to June 2015. Semiquantitative sandwich-based antibody arrays containing 40 cytokines were used to screen target immune cytokines in the peripheral blood of URSA patients before and after LIT.

Predictive Value of Selected Plasma Biomarkers in the Assessment of the Occurrence and Severity of Coronary Artery Disease.

Department of Invasive Cardiology, Independent Public Specialist Western Hospital John Paul II, Lazarski University, 05-825 Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Poland.

Despite significant advances in imaging modalities for diagnosing coronary artery disease (CAD), there remains a need for novel diagnostic approaches with high predictive values and fewer limitations. Circulating biomarkers, including cytokines such as interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-8 (IL-8), cell adhesion molecules such as soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (sVCAM-1), peptides secreted by endothelial cells such as endothelin-1 (ET-1), and enzymes involved in extracellular matrix remodeling such as a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs-1 (ADAMTS-1) offer a promising alternative. This study aimed to evaluate the correlation between the plasma levels of selected biomarkers and the presence and severity of CAD.
