The ribophorin family, including RPN1, has been associated with tumor progression, but its specific role in pan-cancer dynamics remains unclear. Using data from TCGA, GTEx, and Ualcan databases, we investigated the relationship of RPN1 with prognosis, genomic alterations, and epigenetic modifications across various cancers. Differential analysis revealed elevated RPN1 expression in multiple cancer types, indicating a potential prognostic value.

Objectives: Naldemedine is a peripherally acting μ-opioid receptor antagonist used to treat opioid-induced constipation. As this drug does not cross the blood-brain barrier, it is believed that patients without brain metastases do not experience opioid withdrawal symptoms.
Methods: Here, we experienced a case in which a cancer patient without brain metastasis presented with anxiety and restlessness that was severe enough to interfere with daily life.

Prurigo pigmentosa (PP) is a rare dermatological condition with an unclear, often idiopathic etiology, but recent evidence points to a potential link between the disease and metabolic changes, particularly those associated with ketosis. It typically presents as a pruritic, erythematous rash, mainly affecting the trunk and neck, and often features hyperpigmented macules and plaques. The onset of PP has been associated with various factors, including fasting, dieting, and certain metabolic disorders.

Hypertension, a globally prevalent condition, is closely associated with T cell-mediated inflammatory responses. Studies have shown that T cells, by secreting pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), Interleukin-17 (IL-17), and Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), directly lead to vascular dysfunction and elevated blood pressure. The activation of Th1 and Th17 cell subsets, along with the dysfunction of regulatory T cells (Tregs), is a critical mechanism in the onset and progression of hypertension.
