Ten patients presenting agitation and anger outbursts at various stages following a severe closed head injury, were treated in a prospective open trial with carbamazepine, with doses ranging from 400 to 800 mg per day, during 8 weeks. Group analysis demonstrated a statistically significant improvement of a score made up from six target items from the neurobehavioural rating scale. Improvement mainly concerned irritability and disinhibition. A statistically significant improvement was also found with the Agitated Behaviour Scale. Social functioning, as assessed by family or staff ratings of the Katz Adjustment Scale, also significantly improved. No modification of global cognitive functioning was found with the Mini Mental Status Examination. Individual analysis demonstrated that the beneficial effect was important in five cases, moderate in three patients and negligible in two cases. It is concluded that carbamazepine might help to reduce agitated behaviour in brain-injured patients. However, response to treatment demonstrated an important inter-individual variability.

Background: There is potential for digital mental health interventions to provide affordable, efficient, and scalable support to individuals. Digital interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy, stress management, and mindfulness programs, have shown promise when applied in workplace settings.
Objective: The aim of this study is to conduct an umbrella review of systematic reviews in order to critically evaluate, synthesize, and summarize evidence of various digital mental health interventions available within a workplace setting.
Objective: The ADVOCATE trial demonstrated that treatment of active granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) and microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) with avacopan was noninferior in achieving remission at week 26 and superior for sustained remission at week 52 compared with a prednisone taper. This analysis of ADVOCATE evaluated the efficacy and safety of avacopan in patients with ear, nose, throat (ENT), or lung manifestations.
Methods: This post hoc analysis included patients enrolled in ADVOCATE with ENT or lung manifestations at baseline.

Objective: In systemic sclerosis (SSc), absent contractility (AC) rather than ineffective esophageal motility on manometry is associated with a severe esophageal and extraintestinal phenotype. We sought to determine whether slow esophageal transit on scintigraphy associates with a comparable clinical phenotype to that of AC on manometry, as scintigraphy may serve as a noninvasive approach to risk-stratify patients with SSc.
Methods: Clinical, demographic, and serologic features were compared between patients with and without delayed esophageal transit on scintigraphy.

Importance: Two meta-analyses published in 2012 found breech presentation, family history of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), female sex, and primiparity to increase the risk of DDH. However, the DDH definition, reference tests, and the age of the examined children varied considerably, complicating the translation of those findings to current screening guidelines.
Objective: To evaluate the association of previously proposed risk factors with the risk of sonography-verified DDH.
