Background: Brain diseases complexity have necessitated advanced research platforms for better understanding, treatment, and prevention strategies. However, existing brain disease registries face limitations such as incomplete variable sets, lack of standardization, insufficient linkage to external databases, absence of integrated platforms for comprehensive data collection, and lack of continuity. To address these challenges, the Korea National Institute of Health initiated the Brain disease Research Infrastructure for Data Gathering and Exploration (BRIDGE), a national prospective platform designed to overcome the shortcomings of current registries.

Background: BXCL501, a sublingual film formulation of dexmedetomidine, a highly selective α2 adrenoceptor agonist, is currently being studied for the acute treatment of agitation associated with dementia.
Method: This was a Phase 1b/2 study assessing efficacy and tolerability of BXCL501 for treatment of acute agitation associated with dementia. Subjects were randomized to active treatment with BXCL501 (30, 40, or 60µg) or placebo.
Support for the management of cognitive and autonomic features of Lewy body dementia (LBD) is offered in detail in this presentation. The US Based Diamond Lewy Cognitive Symptoms management document presents the unique cognitive profile of LBD with general principles for addressing these features along with detailed guidance in the use of cholinesterase inhibitors and Memantine. The US Based Diamond Lewy Autonomic Symptoms management document addresses the management of common autonomic symptoms including urinary dysfunction, male sexual dysfunction, excessive sweating, constipation, sialorrhea, gastroparesis and orthostatic hypotension in LBD.

Introduction: Pregnancy induces physiological changes, including alterations in cardiovascular dynamics, predisposing pregnant women to supine hypotension syndrome (SHS) during lower-segment cesarean section (LSCS) under spinal anesthesia. Various methods, including manual displacement of the uterus and use of wedges or cushions, have been proposed to prevent SHS, but their effectiveness remains variable. This study aimed to compare the efficacy of a novel 3D-printed uterine displacement device with that of a traditional wedge in preventing SHS during LSCS after spinal anesthesia.
