An analysis of biological properties of blood substitutes has shown the expedience of wider clinical use instead of polyglucin of such substitutes as polyglucol, polifer, rondex, neorondex, polyoxidin, volecam; instead of rheopolyglucin--the rheopolyglucin with glucose, rheogluman and rheoglusol prepared for clinical tests; instead of haemodesin--haemodesin-H, neohaemodesin, gluconeodesin; instead of protein hydrolysates--polyamine and purified from peptides infusamine, hydromine, amicin; instead of 0.9% solution of sodium chloride--disol, quintasol, lactasol, mafusol. They have polyfunctional properties and considerably increase the effectiveness of the infusion--transfusion therapy.

Since its funding in 2004 by the National Institutes of Aging, the goal of ADNI has been the validation of biomarkers for AD treatment trials. ADNI has enrolled over 2,400 participants in the USA and Canada for longitudinal clinical, cognitive, and biomarker studies.

In Japan, the regulatory authority approved the drug in September 2023, and on December 20, it became available for prescription country-wide under the health insurance system. However, there are strict patient, physician, and facility requirements for the prescription of Lecanemab, and various problems are anticipated in its future implementation and widespread use in society. Lecanemab is the first anti-Aβ antibody in Japan, and even dementia specialists do not have sufficient knowledge and experience in its introduction, evaluation of efficacy, and evaluation and handling of side effects.

Background: Close to 23% of unplanned hospital admissions for people living with dementia (PLWD) are due to potentially preventable causes such as severe urinary tract infections (UTIs), falls, and respiratory problems. Background: Dementia is considered a public health problem due to the exponential increase in cases in recent years, as it not only has an impact on health services, but also affects the social and economic level, especially in low and middle income countries. Evidence has shown that a trained caregiver improves the patient's quality of life, reduces behavioural symptoms and decreases the likelihood of the caregiver developing burnout. Currently scarce research has reported on the level of knowledge of dementia, specifically targeting caregivers in LMIC, that's why we aimed to measure the level of knowledge of caregivers attending to monthly training compared to untrained caregivers.
