The effects of environmental polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) exposure on glycemic regulation and the underlying genetic mechanism were still unclear. This study aimed to analyze the longitudinal joint effects of PAHs exposure and genetic susceptibility on fasting plasma glucose (FPG) through a longitudinal study. We included 4104 observations (2383 baseline participants and 1721 6-year follow-up participants) from Wuhan-Zhuhai cohort.

To understand the flavor and metabolite differences between the three commercial dried jujube cultivars (HZ), (HMZ), and (QYX), their soluble sugars, organic acids, volatiles, and metabolites were systematically investigated. The results show that sucrose and malic acid were the main soluble sugar and organic acids contained in these dried jujubes, respectively. Sucrose (573.

Streptomyces produce a broad spectrum of biologically active molecules such as oxytetracycline and rimocidin, which are widely used in human and animal treatments. microparticle-enhanced cultivation (MPEC) is one of the tools used for Streptomyces bioprocesses intensification by the control of mycelial morphology. In the present work, morphological changes of Streptomyces rimosus caused by the addition of 10 µm talc microparticles in MPEC were correlated with the biosynthetic activity of the microorganism.

Comparative Metabolomic Profiling of L-Histidine and NEFA Treatments in Bovine Mammary Epithelial Cells.

Non-esterified fatty acids (NEFAs) are pivotal in energy metabolism, yet high concentrations can lead to ketosis, a common metabolic disorder in cattle. Our laboratory observed lower levels of L-histidine in cattle suffering from ketosis, indicating a potential interaction between L-histidine and NEFA metabolism. This relationship prompted us to investigate the metabolomic alterations in bovine mammary epithelial cells (BMECs) induced by elevated NEFA levels and to explore L-histidine's potential mitigating effects.
