Aim: Of the study was to show that changing patient position from supine to prone results in improved specificity of myocardial SPECT (MS).

Methods: We examined the influence of patient position in MS on the diagnosis of coronary heart disease (CHD) in 151 patients. By using a Tc-99m-labeled compound (Tetrofosmin, Myoview, Nycomed, Amersham) examinations could be performed in supine and prone position within 35 minutes. Examinations were performed as a two-day stress-rest protocol with one gamma camera head and 180 degrees rotation without absorption correction.

Results: Semi-quantitative patient and heart phantom data show similar values for anterior and inferior wall in prone position in contrast to a lower count ratio of inferior to anterior wall in supine position. This demonstrates the importance of patient position with respect to artifacts specificity. Changing patient position from supine to prone mainly improves diagnostic specificity for CHD in the inferior wall in men (from 58% to 90%) and in the anterior wall in women (from 80% to 93%). Sensitivity is the same for both techniques.

Conclusion: Changing patient position from supine to prone significantly improves diagnostic specificity while sensitivity remains unchanged.

Background: Descemet's membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) is a highly effective procedure for corneal endothelial dysfunction; however, once a DMEK graft is deployed, repositioning can be challenging. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of a technique that utilizes infusion and small air bubbles to reposition a misaligned deployed graft.

Methods: This retrospective interventional case series enrolled patients who underwent DMEK between January 2022 and July 2023, including cases where the DMEK graft was attached and unfolded in off-center positions".

Background: Opioid overdose is an ongoing public health issue in the rural United States and can be countered by increasing access to the opioid antagonist naloxone. Community pharmacists are well-positioned to offer and dispense naloxone to patients at risk of opioid overdose, but still experience a range of communication barriers. Understanding rural patient communication preferences is essential to prepare pharmacists to discuss naloxone in a patient-centered manner.

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, hôpital Conception, 147, boulevard Baille, 13005 Marseille, France.

Introduction: Fournier's gangrene is a severe infection of the perineum and genital regions, with high mortality rate. Treatment is medico-surgical and multidisciplinary, usually requiring extensive debridement of scrotal tissue and distant surgical reconstruction. Regarding scrotal reconstruction, numerous techniques have been described, however, to our knowledge, none has focused on testicular repositioning.

CT-guided C1-C2 facet joint injections are a valuable tool for managing cervicogenic headaches caused by degenerative and inflammatory conditions of the atlantoaxial joint. This video article presents the procedural technique for a CT-guided C1-C2 facet joint injection in a patient with left-sided cervicogenic headache. Despite concerns regarding potential complications such as vascular injury to the vertebral artery and nerve injury to the C2 dorsal root ganglion, careful anatomic planning and imaging guidance allows safe and effective treatment.
