A rare case of sigmoido-vesical fistula manifested clinically by dysuria and haematuria is presented. The diagnostic difficulties caused by incorrect sequence of image diagnostics is emphasized.

We report a case of sigmoido-vesical fistula due to sigmoid diverticulitis. Magnetic resonance imaging enabled us to visualize the fistula itself in the bladder wall. Magnetic resonance imaging was highly effective in making a precise diagnosis and also provided important additional information for the preoperative work-up of the patient.

The authors describe a case of sigmoido-vesical fistula in 64 years old woman. The fistula probably developed as a result of complications of sigmoidal diverticulitis. The main clinical manifestation were symptoms of recurrent urinary tract infections and pneumaturia.
