Objective: To compare the postoperative analgesic effectiveness of ultrasound-guided lumbar erector spinae plane (LESP) block with lumbar plexus block (LPB) in patients operated for proximal femur fractures.
Study Design: A randomised controlled trial. Place and Duration of the Study: Sakarya Training and Research Hospital Operation Theatre, Sakarya, Turkiye, between January and June 2023.
This study aimed to delineate trends in intervertebral disc degeneration among Mexican patients, specifically focusing on the distribution and correlation between BMI and Pfirrmann classification results within the Mexican population. Conducted using the public health database of Mexico City. The study involved 51 patients sampled via convenience sampling, with exclusive utilization of internal MRI data from L4-L5 and L5-S1 discs.

Objective: This study aims to introduce a two-stage surgical procedure, namely oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF), for spinal disorders treatment. Furthermore, clinical outcomes and imaging results are analyzed between OLIF with posterior fixation and posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) with fixation for lumbosacral curve-driven degenerative lumbar scoliosis (DLS).
Methods: 146 patients with type 2 DLS who underwent OLIF or PLIF between January 2019 and November 2023 were included.

The genesis of both osteoporosis and sarcopenia is multifactorial, complicated, and interrelated. The present study has been undertaken to analyze the prevalence of low bone mineral density (BMD) and the pattern of imaging markers of sarcopenia (paraspinal skeletal muscle area [SMA] and skeletal muscle index [SMI] with respect to clinicodemographic profile in middle-aged patients (30-45 years) undergoing evaluation for low back pain (LBP). Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the lumbosacral spine and/or sacroiliac joints was done on 3T MRI.

The aim of this descriptive epidemiological study is to investigate the characteristics of injuries among Japanese international athletes during pre-competition medical check-ups from 2008 to 2019.
