Openness in adoption is both a philosophical concept and a description of relationships. Regardless of the age of the adoptee or the circumstances of the adoption, the goal of openness is to minimize loss and to maintain connections. This article presents a model for expanding the principles learned from openness in infant adoptions to the field of special needs adoptions.

The aim of the study is to analyze the relationship between personality traits of women with hereditary predisposition to breast/ovarian cancer and their obstetric history and cancer-preventive behaviors. A total of 357 women, participants of 'The National Program for Families With Genetic/Familial High Risk for Cancer', were included in the study. The Neo Five-Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI) and a standardized original questionnaire designed for the purpose of the study were used.

Light is an important environmental factor affecting the ripening and quality of strawberry fruit. Previous studies have shown that red light treatment can promote strawberry ripening. Background: Stigma is the experience of feeling different from socially accepted norms which can lead to personal devaluation or fear of disapproval from others. For men and women experiencing infertility, stigma has been associated with psychological distress, feelings of otherness in relation to people with children, and selective disclosure with others about their infertility challenges. However, there are few studies which examine how infertility stigma and being open with others are related to depressive symptoms and meaning in life for men and women diagnosed with infertility.
